NDHSAA Board Synopsis – (January 23, 2025)

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The North Dakota High School Activities Association Board of Directors met in person in Valley City on Thursday, January 23.

The following were agenda items were discussed or acted on:

  • The Board approved one item from Athletic Review, which will extend the boys and girls soccer seasons by one calendar week beginning in 2025-26. Athletic Review Grid

  • The Board approved an Executive Board Report that included the approval of an emergency football co-op between Valley City and Barnes County North for the 2025-27 seasons. The Executive Board also included the establishment of task forces made up of NDHSAA Member School administrators for the sports of golf and tennis.   

  • The Board approved a Realignment Committee Report that included finalizing 2025-26 Class B golf region alignments and the placement of Sargent Central-Milnor-Oakes softball in Region 1 for the 2025 season.

  • The Board approved a Report from the Basketball Classification Committee. The report included the results of the Basketball Classification Committee meeting that took place Tuesday, January 16 in Valley City. Four applications for reclassification were heard and four were denied.  

  • The Board approved a date change for the June Meeting. The June NDHSAA Board Meeting will now be 10 a.m. on June 11 in Valley City.

  • The Board approved meeting dates for the 2025-26 school year.

The NDHSAA General Assembly Membership Meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Monday, April 7 at the Holiday Inn in Fargo.

The next scheduled NDHSAA Board of Directors meeting is April 8 in Valley City.
