NDHSAA NEWS RELEASE - SEPEMBER 14, 2024
MANDAN, N.D. – North Dakota High School Activities Association (NDHSAA) Associate Director Brian Bubach was inducted into the Communication Speech and Theater Association of North Dakota (CSTAND) Hall of Fame on Friday, September 13 at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Mandan.
Bubach, a graduate of Litchville High School, Valley City State University & North Dakota State University, is in his 17th year with the NDHSAA and has been Associate Director since 2014. He began his education career in 1998 as a music teacher at Maddock Public Schools. He would later serve as a school administrator in Maddock before joining the NDHSAA in 2008.
In addition to his administrative duties at the NDHSAA, Bubach works directly with NDHSAA sanctioned fine arts activities & boys and girls tennis. He received the CSTAND Service to the Profession Award in 2015 and the Roughrider District National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) Administrator of the Year Award in 2016.
Bubach has served eight years on National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Performing Arts Committees and has presented five times at NFHS National Conferences.
Joining Bubach in the 2024 CSTAND Hall of Fame induction class was Clarice Kuhn Andrus, a retired English, theatre & public speaking teacher who taught at five different schools in North Dakota including Mott-Regent High School, where she began hosting the annual Wildfire Speech Meet.
