NDHSAA Board Synopsis: June 11

NDHSAA Board Synopsis - (June 11, 2024)

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The North Dakota High School Activities Association Board of Directors met in person on Tuesday, June 11 in Valley City.

The following were agenda items were discussed or acted on:

  • The Board approved the officers for the 2024-25 school year. Andrew Jordan, Superintendent of Wilton School, will be Board President. Patti Aanenson, Athletic Director at Larimore High School, will be Vice President.

  • The Board voted to acknowledge updated language in the NDHSAA’s 3-Division Volleyball Draft that is marked for final approval in September of 2024. 

  • The Board approved four items from Athletic Review.

  • Tournament sites for 2025 NDHSAA Spring Sports were approved. Current Board-Approved Tournament Sites. Select “2024-25” tab for 2024-25 Region and State Tournament sites.

  • The Board approved a Realignment Committee Report that included the approval of the 2025-26 Valley City region placements for its transition to Class B and a 2025-26 Class B golf regions alignment draft.

  • The Board approved an Ejection Review Policy

  • The Board recognized outgoing Board Members – President Josh Johnson (Superintendent of Valley City Schools), Rick Diegel (Superintendent of Kidder County and Linton Schools), Guy Fridley (Athletic Director of Dickinson High School) and Alexis Baxley (North Dakota School Boards Association).

  • The Board of Directors next scheduled meeting is Thursday, September 26.
