This week's NDHSAA Member School Alumni Spotlight shines on Tanner Kretchman, a 2014 graduate of Fargo Davies High School. Below is a list of accomplishments in Kretchman's prep and collegiate athletic careers. Kretchman is currently serves as a basketball official registered with the NDHSAA.

Named NDAPSSA North Dakota Mr. Basketball in 2014.
Named NDHSCA Class A Boys Basketball Senior Athlete of the Year in 2014.
Named Eastern Dakota Conference Boys Basketball Senior Athlete of the Year in 2014.
Led Fargo Davies to a NDHSAA Class A boys basketball state championship in 2014.
Scored 32 points in the 2014 NDHSAA Class A boys basketball state championship game (a 62-55 win over Bismarck St. Mary’s on March 15, 2014 at the Minot State Dome).
Scored a combined 108 points in three games played at the 2014 NDHSAA Class A Boys Basketball State Tournament.
Named to the All-Tournament team and was voted Tournament MVP during the 2014 NDHSAA Class A Boys Basketball State Tournament.
Holds Class A Boys Basketball State Tournament record for most points scored in a state quarterfinal/opening round game with 45 points (March 13, 2014 vs. Minot at the Minot State Dome).
Scored 46 points in a game (January 10, 2014) against Fargo Shanley at McCormick Gymnasium. He connected for five 3-pointers in the game and made a total of 17 field goals along with going 7 of 9 from the free-throw line.
Scored a combined 73 points in three games played at the 2013 NDHSAA Class A Boys Basketball State Tournament.
Named to the All-Tournament team during the 2013 NDHSAA Class A Boys Basketball State Tournament played at the Bismarck Event Center.
Finished prep career with 1,943 points during prep career (Kindred and Fargo Davies).
Averaged 29.2 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game as a senior (2013-14 season) while hitting 74 three-pointers.
Averaged 24.8 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game during the 2012-13 season (junior year) while hitting 86 three-pointers and shot 47 percent from three-point range.
Scored 403 total points in 15 total region and state tournament games played during his prep basketball career (26.9 points per game).
Named NDAPSSA Class A Boys Basketball All-State First Team in 2014.
Named NDAPSSA Class A Boys Basketball All-State First Team in 2013.
Unanimous All-EDC selection in 2013 and 2014 (Junior and Senior seasons).
All-District 2 selection his freshman year while playing at Kindred High School.
GOLF:
Earned NDHSCA Class A Boys Golf All-State honors his senior season at Fargo Davies after finishing runner up in the individual competition at the 2014 NDHSAA Class A Boys Golf Tournament played at Jamestown Country Club.
COLLEGE BASKETBALL CAREER
Played men’s basketball at Minnesota State Moorhead from 2014-2018.
Played in 134 career games for the Dragons.
Started in 88 games of his collegiate men’s basketball career.
Averaged 12.2 points per game in his collegiate career
Finished his collegiate men’s basketball career with 1,630 points.
302 of 373 career free throws (81 percent) at MSUM
270 of 671 career 3-point field goals (40 percent).
529 of 1,165 career field goals (.454 percent).
Helped MSUM to a NCAA Division II Elite 8 appearance (first in team history) during the 2014-15 season - his freshman year.
All-NSIC First Team Selection as a sophomore and junior.
All-NSIC Second Team Selection as a senior.
Helped the Dragons to two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) championships and three appearances in the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball National Tournament.
OTHER HONORS & SERVICE
Graduated from MSUM in 2018 with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting.
Served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of Minnesota Duluth during the 2018-19 season under head coach Justin Wieck.
Currently is a basketball official registered with the NDHSAA.
