VALLEY CITY, N.D. – Each Monday NDHSAA Media Specialist Tom Mix posts several interesting stats relating to NDHSAA Activities (past and present) on the NDHSAA NOW website. Keep visiting each Monday and learn more about the education-based athletics and activities sponsored by the NDHSAA.
21.9: Scoring average for West Fargo Horace senior forward Jaiden Haile through 10 games played during the 2024-25 NDHSAA girls basketball season. Haile is a Gonzaga University commit and has helped the Hawks to a 9-1 start this season.
3: Number of undefeated boys basketball teams remaining in the Western Dakota Association. Minot High (8-0), Mandan (8-0) and Bismarck Century (9-0) all have maintained unblemished records through the first month of play. Mandan hosts Century on Tuesday, January 14.
42: Number of points tallied this season by West Fargo High boys hockey player Bryce Mattern. Mattern, a junior forward, has 24 goals and 18 assists for the Packers. He leads the state in scoring.
18: Number of goals scored this season by Minot High girls hockey player Brynn Hanson. Hanson, a junior forward who attends Des lacs-Burlington High School, leads the state in goals scored.
29: Number of boys wrestling wins recorded this season by Bismarck Legacy junior Nicolas Enzminger. Enzminger, a 127-pounder, is 29-0 through the first half of the season and has recorded 20 wins via pin.
26: Number of girls wrestling wins tallied this season by Bismarck High sophomore Julia Araujo. Araujo is a three-time NDHSAA individual girls wrestling state champion.
11.4: Scoring average for University of North Dakota women’s basketball freshman and 2024 Grand Forks Red River High School graduate Jocelyn Schiller during the 2024-25 season. Schiller, a true freshman, has started all 17 games for the Fighting Hawks and is second on the team in 3-pointers with 20.
38.150: Scoring average in the all-around this winter for Dickinson junior Aspen Roadarmel. Roadarmel’s average int he all-around, through six meets this season, is currently the state’s top average.
