Langdon Area/Munich wins NDHSAA Class B Volleyball State Championship

FARGO – Langdon Area/Munich snapped a two-year drought of missing the NDHSAA Class B Volleyball State Tournament in 2024 and the Cardinals quickly established they weren’t just content making it to state.

The Cardinals played inspired and as a result found themselves in the state championship. Langdon Area/Munich defeated South Prairie 3-1 (15-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-16) in the NDHSAA Class B volleyball state championship match on Saturday, November 23 at the FARGODOME.

Leading the way for the Cardinals was Hilary Haaven who posted 20 kills and 16 digs. Meredith Romfo added 15 kills for the Langdon Area/Munich.

Azjiah Trader led South Prairie/Max with 15 kills.

The state title is the Cardinals’ fifth in program history (2003, 2008, 2010, 2019, 2024). Langdon Area/Munich finished the season 38-5. South Prairie/Max finished the season 32-6-2.
