The 2014 NDHSAA State Class B One-Act Play Contest was held Monday and Tuesday, November 24 and 25 in Jamestown.
The top 8 places awarded at the finals were as follows: 1st – Washburn, “Asylum”
; 2nd – Richardton Taylor, “The Spirit of Life”; 3rd – Park River, “The Triangle Factory Fire Project”; 4th – LaMoure, “Once Upon a Playground”; 5th – Oakes, “The Terezin Promise”; 6th – Rugby, “Shakespeare Unbound”; 7th – Thompson, “Mary Jane of Whitechapel”; 8th- Kindred, “All I Really Need to Know I Learned from Being a Zombie”.

Each school qualified for State from one of 10 regions statewide with contest held in early to mid November. Schools participating were: Beulah, Burke County, Carrington, Central Cass, Drake-Anamoose, Glenburn, Harvey-Wells County, Kindred, LaMoure, Lisbon, New Rockford-Sheyenne, Oakes, Park River, Ray, Richardton-Taylor, Rugby, Shiloh Christian, Thompson, Washburn, and Wyndmere.
