2014 NDHSAA State A Girls’ Golf Tournament October 6-7, Jamestown

2014 NDHSAA sponsored State A Girls’ Golf Tournament will be held October 6-7 at the Jamestown Country Club, 3730 86th Ave SE.  Jim Roaldson, Activities Administrator for Jamestown High School, will be the tournament manager.

Tee-off begins at 8:30 a.m. on October 6.  Qualifiers will play 18 holes each day of the tournament with awards being presented at the conclusion of Tuesday’s play.  Team trophies will be awarded to the top 3 teams.  Awards will be presented to the 6 members of the first and second place teams.  In addition, awards will be presented to the medalist and 9 all-state recipients.

Team qualification for the state tournament will be determined at each of the two regions by advancing the top two-thirds of the complete teams that participate.  Golfers also qualify from regions to the state tournament through top ten region placing plus any individual scoring less than 15 strokes above the region medalist. The top ten all-conference selections from regular season play in their respective regions advance to the State Tournament.  Also, each regional site designates one invitational tournament which will allow individuals to qualify for state.  Qualifying marks for that designated tournament will be 15 strokes above medalist or fifteen above par, whichever is higher.
